Rachel from Pizzarossa was our lovely June 2013 Daring Bakers' host and she had us whipping up delicious pies in our kitchens! Cream pies, fruit pies, chocolate pies, even crack pies! There's nothing like pie! In this challenge, the mandatory requirement was to make one or more pies using the recipes provided from Rachel. I decided to make two fruit pies - crostata di marmelatta di ciliegie (I was thrilled with the flavor of vanilla in the pastry) and double crust apple pie (classic pie that we all love).
